The first is the application of CAD (Computer Aided Design), and the second is the usage of 3D printing. Both of these advances enable our jewellers to offer more innovative designs without increasing costs, while also allowing our consumers to have more say in the design process.

Customers frequently report that they are unable to find a wedding ring that fits properly next to their engagement ring due to the diamond setting. In this case, the bride-to-be desired the appearance of an eternity ring and a wedding band combined. We channel set a row of brilliant cut diamonds off centre to allow for an extra curved edge for a great fit. This created a balanced aspect for the band and guaranteed that the trio diamonds in the engagement ring did not overshadow the wedding ring.

We will create a Cad-Cam (computerised image) of your design once you have provided us with images of the type of design you are interested in and have decided on the width and size of the ring, the 4 c's (colour, cut, clarity, and carats), as well as your choice of metal, so that you can see what the ring will look like when it is finished.

The route to the wedding ring began, as one might imagine, with the engagement ring. I knew I wanted something special for Clementine. She won't mind if I tell you she has little fingers. Look at what's on the shelves; it's all quite bulky. People still seem to desire large stones! I knew this wasn't going to work out for Clementine. I've always admired Alice's work, so I approached her with hesitation to see if she might alter one of her existing designs for an engagement ring.

When we were looking for and selecting our wedding rings, we decided to start by visiting a local jeweller. This was mostly to obtain our specific ring sizes, but it was also to check what wedding bands were available, as well as what metals, forms, and sizes were available. We had already discussed and decided that for our wedding bands, we wanted to keep them basic and without stones. This was simply our preference.

We had pondered returning to Alice, who had designed my engagement ring, and asking her if she might make us unique wedding bands to match my engagement ring. As I tried on the rings in the jewellers, it became clear to me that I wanted the uniqueness of my engagement ring to also be in our wedding bands, for consistency, and for us to have matching rings that were distinct and special to us. The rings in the jewellers were excellent, but they were mostly machine-made and a little lifeless. They just didn't feel like the right rings for us.

When our wedding rings were finished, they arrived in a lovely box next to each other. They are everything we hoped for in wedding rings and more. I love that we were able to have matching rings, and that mine matched my engagement ring and was created to fit around my engagement ring as well.

You may fall in love with a specific type of design at times, such as a specific style of ring, a specific thickness, or a specific type of metal.
